Porduct Overview

The Double-row Dual RCD board features a 100A main switch feeding two independent 80A RCDs, with each RCD protecting an entire row. This provides a huge number of RCD-protected ways while ensuring that a fault on one row will not affect the other. It is the ultimate solution for large, complex domestic or light commercial installations where supply continuity and safety are paramount. The spacious BS EN 61439-3 steel enclosure makes even the most complex wiring manageable.

Key Advantages:
1. Maximum Integrity & Capacity: Two independent RCDs across two rows provide the best possible fault separation for a large number of circuits.
2. Logical Circuit Balancing: Dedicate one row to upstairs and one to downstairs, or lighting vs. power, for ultimate reliability.
3. Ideal for Complex Installations: Ample space and clear separation for managing many circuits cleanly.
4. Fully RCD Protected: All outgoing ways are protected by one of the two RCDs.
5. Robust & Compliant: Steel enclosure meets BS EN 61439-3; optional lock on SL models.

Use Cases:
1. Very large or complex homes with a high density of circuits.
2. Multi-occupancy buildings (e.g., student accommodation) where separating floors is essential.
3. Light commercial installations requiring full RCD protection across all circuits (e.g., offices, workshops).

FAQs:
Q1: Are there any ways that are not RCD protected?
A1: No, in this configuration, all outgoing ways are fed from one of the two RCDs. For non-RCD ways, consider the double-row split load model or an all-RCBO approach.

Q2: How many free ways are on each row?
A2: The 28-way model offers 10 and 12 free ways per row, while the 36-way model offers 14 and 16.

Q3: Can I add surge protection?
A3: Yes, an SPD kit can be installed at the incoming stage, before the supply splits to the two RCDs.

Q4: What are the RCD ratings?
A4: The board includes two double-pole 80A, 30mA Type A RCDs.

Q5: Is a lockable version available?
A5: Yes, select the "SL" variant for an integrated door lock.
